  • Are classes in English or in German? Sind Ihre Kurse auf Englisch oder auf Deutsch?
At the moment our classes and courses are only in English. We hope to offer additional classes in German in the near future! Non native English speakers are of course welcome to attend, but you should have an intermediate level of English to be able to follow the class information and instructions.
  • How do I book and pay for a baby massage course?
Click on the 'Courses' page to sign up for a course of your choice. To confirm your booking, you'll be asked for payment as part of the sign-up process. Sign-up takes less than 5 minutes.
  • What are the benefits of baby massage?
Baby massage is an ancient and loving art that can help both yourself and baby to adjust to your new lives together. It helps to relax both parent and baby and provides bonding time for you both. We guide you through tried and tested techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment that can help alleviate issues such as trapped wind, gas, constipation and colic. At the end of each class there is time for refreshments and discussion with other parents.
  • How old should my baby be before attending baby massage?
Generally, infant massage is suitable from birth though often parents start to attend formal classes from 6 weeks old. We welcome babies up to crawling age.
  • What should I bring to the baby massage class?
Please bring the following to class: Baby massage oil (we recommend an organic, cold pressed vegetable oil such as sunflower oil). Towel for baby. Blanket for baby. Change of nappy / clothes. Muslin/cuddly toy or other baby soother if you think this may help settle baby during class. Food/milk for baby if you expect they will need to feed during or just after the class. Mums are of course welcome to breastfeed baby at any time during the class.
  • What should I wear to the class, and how should I dress my baby for the class?
You and baby can wear anything you are comfortable in. Parents / caregivers will be seated on yoga mats on the floor, so comfortable, stretchy clothing works well. For babies, we recommend clothing that is easy to remove such as a simple baby grow.
  • What oil should I use to massage my baby with?
A scent-free vegetable oil, preferably cold pressed and organic. One example of a readily available and acceptable oil is sunflower oil. Olive oil is not recommended for use on infant skin.
  • I can't find a course with dates and times that suit me, do you offer other dates and times?
We will be scheduling more dates in the future. If you would like to be contacted about future dates, please subscribe to our newsletter (see 'Join our mailing list' box at the bottom of each webpage). Alternatively, please see the course bookings page where you can book a private session, or contact us and we will be happy to arrange a private course to meet your needs.
  • Where do your baby massage instruction courses take place?
Our courses take place at Der Kraftplatz, Nonntaler Hauptstraße 80, Salzburg 5020.
